Automaker Tesla made a mistake by using robots so much in factories. The company has relied too much on robotics to automate factories, CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter. “That was my mistake. I underestimated people as staff.”
Tesla tried to replace many factory workers with automated robots, in hopes of simplifying the production process. However, according to Musk, that did not go as hoped.
Tesla’s factories also fail to produce 2,500 units of the Tesla Model 3 every week. It is unclear whether Tesla will solve this by hiring more staff.
