Space company SpaceX aims to launch its Starship rocket into orbit in July. That said CEO Gwynne Shotwell during the International Space Development Conference (ISDC), writes CNBC Friday.

The plan to launch Starship into orbit was already known, but it was not yet clear when SpaceX planned to launch the spacecraft.

“We’re about to fly the plane, or at least attempt its first runway flight,” said Shotwell.

The statement of the top woman is remarkable, according to Space News. The launch application, which has been filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FFC), is still pending.

It is not known which specific requirements of the authority Starship now meets. The application states that the space company wants to launch the rocket from its usual base in Boca Chica, Texas.

The unmanned prototype of the rocket landed successfully earlier in May after a test flight over the United States. During previous attempts, the rocket failed to land safely or to keep it intact after landing, but this went well with the prototype SN15.
